The 7th of April, 2020 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of the poet William Wordsworth. Events dedicated to this anniversary will take place throughout the year. Dove Cottage, in the county of Cumbria, is the home where the poet lived with his sister Dorothy and where he composed some of his most famous works, including Daffodils. The cottage has been renovated to celebrate the occasion, becoming more authentic and evocative. The exhibition “Celebrating William Wordsworth” at St John's College Cambridge’s showcases items from the Wordsworth Collection. Here you can observe not only his face but his breakfast teacup, as well as letters to his eminent contemporaries and first-edition copies of his greatest works.
