The first large-scale international retrospective dedicated to Pink Floyd held its opening on the 13th of May. The exhibition, entitled The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, is being staged at the London Victoria and Albert Museum to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the release of the band's first single, Arnold Layne.
The exhibition is presented as an audio-visual experience through the world and history of Pink Floyd from its beginnings in the sixties until nowadays. It includes 350 objects and artifacts, some of them unpublished, presented alongside works of art, design and architecture from the collections of the V&A Museum.
The exhibition includes set and construction pieces from album covers and stage performances, instruments, music technology, original designs, architectural drawings, handwritten lyrics and psychedelic prints and posters.
