Hemingway: The Man, The Myth, The Writer Revealed is a new documentary by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that examines the life and visionary work of one of the most important American authors.
The film, which aired on the American public channel PBS on April 5, lasts a total of six hours and is divided into three parts: A Writer (1899-1929), The Avatar (1929-1944) and The Blank Page (1944-1961). According to The New Yorker, the directors wanted to reveal the ambitious and complicated man behind the myth and his art.
