The film "Downton Abbey", a sequel to the British television series of the same name, was released on the 24th of October.
The film is set in 1927 and the main characters are the Crawleyfamily and their servants working in the aristocratic manor of Downton Abbey, Yorkshire. The story begins when the family receives a letter from Buckingham Palace announcing the arrival of King George V and his wife Mary. Everyone prepares to welcome the royal couple, but the replacement of the entire team of servants with the staff of the Royal family creates discontentment. The servants therefore devise a plan to restore Downton's honor.
The film has been long awaited by fans of the television series, which in six seasons told the lives, loves and changes of the Crawley family from 1910 until 1926.
